Essentials of UX and HCD management in organisations (CPUX-M)

This training focuses on in-depth understanding, methodologies and strategic approach of strengthening user and customer perspectives and Human-centred Design activities in organisations. However, for all participants who would like to go for the optional certification we will provide sufficient material, test questions and a mock exam for a thorough preparation of the multiple-choice theoretical certification exam. This personal

preparation of the certification exam including the registration for the exam can be started at any time following the training. 

Usually, we recommend to start the exam in the weeks following the training before the day-to-day work and work load takes over.

Content

The main topics are:

  1. Fundamentals of HCD (human-centered design) management and HCD in organisations, its business relevance
  2. Business terms that UX (user experience) professional need to know, transforming HCD outcomes into business value
  3. UX and HCD management and leadership, roles and business partners in organisations, HCD infrastructure in organisations
  4. Crafting and driving a UX vision and HCD strategy
  5. Creating an organisation-wide HCD and feedback culture, promoting HCD
  6. Models of HCD maturity, how to measure HCD maturity in organisations, departments or teams
  7. Activities that enlarge HCD maturity in organisations
  8. Measuring the business value and effect of outcomes of HCD activities
  9. Further aspects to address in organisational development, risk management, ethical and sustainable design
Learning Outcomes

All learning objectives of the CPUX-M training are listed in the current curriculum version 1.01 EN by the UXQB, https://www.uxqb.org/ux-training-and-certification/cpux-m/. We fully incorporate all learning objectives in our training. 


In addition, we add some further content and exercises that give a more complete and easier to grasp picture of how to strengthen Human-centred Design perspectives and activities in organisations. In addition, artificial intelligence components important for Human-centred Design will be addressed in the training.

Matthias Reisemann has 26 years of professional experience in Human-centered design (HDC) consulting and User Requirements Engineering. He is a trainer for all CPUX certificates and the responsible editor of the CPUX-F curriculum. Furthermore, he is a working group member for the CPUX-UR and visiting lecturer at the University of Aalen. He is a member of the German UPA and coordinator of the Med & Health working group.
