We’ve gathered the most common questions to help you understand how our Academies work and what you can expect from our programmes.
The Academies are specialised training programmes created by the Digital Learning Hub to address the growing demand for skills in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Computing. They combine high-quality learning, flexibility, and innovation to prepare the experts of tomorrow, today.
The Academies are open to professionals who want to develop advanced digital skills (upskill), young school graduates who are looking for an alternative to classical academic studies, and career changers who want to reskill into a promising new area. Whether you’re looking to grow within your field or start a new career, our flexible formats make it possible to learn at your own pace.
While the Digital Learning Hub offers short, stand-alone, and mostly on-site courses, the Academies provide longer, structured learning paths designed for deeper skill development. They combine online project-based learning with regular on-site sessions, promoting flexibility without compromising collaboration and engagement. Each Academy includes real-world projects, peer collaboration, and expert mentorship, following a hands-on, career-oriented approach that mirrors professional environments.
Our Academies follow a blended online model, combining self-paced learning with daily stand-up meetings that can take place either online or on site. You’ll work on projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with peers, all while being guided by experienced mentors. This approach offers flexibility while ensuring structure, accountability, and engagement.
The Cybersecurity and the Quantum Computing Academies include recognised certifications.
- The Cybersecurity Academy prepares learners for two industry-leading certifications: CompTIA Security+ and Pentest+, ensuring solid professional validation of your skills.
- The Quantum Computing Academy offers the IBM Qiskit certification, providing official recognition from one of the world’s key technology leaders.
- The AI Academy currently does not include a specific certification, as the field evolves too rapidly for a single credential to cover all specialisations. However, the program offers two specialisations and is designed to prepare learners for future AI certifications as they become relevant in the market, while building a strong project portfolio recognized by employers.
The duration of each Academy depends on the weekly workload (40 hours or 20 hours per week) and, for the AI Academy, on the chosen specialisation.
- The AI Academy offers two specialisations: Machine Learning, which lasts 7 months with a 40-hour weekly workload or 14 months with a 20-hour weekly workload, and Data Science, which lasts 6 months with a 40-hour weekly workload or 12 months with a 20-hour weekly workload.
- The Cybersecurity Academy has the same duration for both the offensive and defensive tracks: 7 months with a 40-hour weekly workload or 14 months with a 20-hour weekly workload.
- The Quantum Computing Academy is offered with a 20-hour weekly workload and runs for 4 months in total.
- Data Science Specialisation: Learn the complete data workflow – from data acquisition and preparation to analysis using both foundational and advanced AI methods. This path focuses on building practical expertise in working with data.
- Machine Learning Specialisation: Dive deep into algorithm development and model understanding – explore classical machine learning techniques and, at the core, deep learning approaches, while mastering the design, implementation, and evaluation of diverse predictive models.
Defensive Cybersecurity focuses on protecting systems, networks, and data from attacks. Professionals in this area:
- Monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities
- Implement security controls and firewalls
- Respond to incidents and breaches
- Develop security policies and procedures
- Can be security analysts, incident responders, security architects
- Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking
- Identify weaknesses before attackers exploit them
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits
- Can be penetration testers, ethical hackers, red team members
The Academies combine affordability, inclusivity, and hands-on experience with a peer-to-peer pedagogy that encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. You learn by doing, with continuous guidance from industry experts.
You can apply directly through each Academy's dedicated page, where you’ll find detailed information about each programme, including structure, duration, and admission requirements, or head directly to our admission platform.
Admission to the Academy is a selective process designed to ensure the best match between each candidate and the programme. The final decision is based on three main factors: your performance in the online assessment, your individual interview, and the number of available places in the chosen Academy. As places are limited, early applications are strongly encouraged.
The tuition fee is 500€ per Academy. Specific reductions may apply for job seekers registered with the Luxembourg Employment Agency (ADEM); please contact your career counsellor to check your eligibility and apply for the discount.
