We are looking for ambitious and courageous non-technical women and people from other underrepresented groups from diverse backgrounds eager to transition to IT roles such as Business Analysts, Data Analysts, or Business Intelligence Specialists.
Content
- Week 1 - Kick off
- Week 2 – 7: SQL querying and recap
- Week 8 – 13: BI development, recap, and cap-stone project creation
- Week 14: Graduation ceremony
Learning Outcomes
- Getting familiar with BI/IT terminology: Short intro on BI and IT most common used terms
- Diving into data analysis: Diving into SQL basic concepts (operators, filters, joins, subqueries, set operators, functions)
- Getting familiar with BI tools: Presenting multiple BI tools – focus on Power BI Desktop
- Diving into BI Development: Intro to ETL process (Power Query)
- Getting familiar with DAX syntax and working with variables
- Data storytelling: Working with different type of visuals and adding value to report through insights
Training Method
The Analytics and BI Track is a hybrid program: the first session (kick-off), a second session in the middle of the learning path, and the last session will be held on site at DLH; all other sessions will be conducted online

Certificate of ParticipationPrerequisites
- No technical knowledge is needed, but understanding reporting and/or data management can be an asset.
- The students will need to commit to allocate 10h/week (training, Q&A session, homework, individual study).
