Information Design Fundamentals
In today’s data-driven world, the ability to communicate information visually is essential. This course helps beginners turn raw data into clear, engaging, and impactful visual stories, unlocking creativity and improving understanding.
What the course is about
Participants explore core data visualization concepts, best practices, and real-world examples. The course covers profiling datasets, selecting the right charts, identifying stories in data, using visual metaphors, and designing a complete infographic using tools such as Flourish, Rawgraph, Canva, or digital sketching apps. Hands-on exercises reinforce learning and allow participants to apply concepts in practice.

Training Method
This course uses a hands-on, practical approach, combining short theoretical inputs, real-world examples, and interactive exercises. Participants work individually and in groups, using tools like Flourish, Rawgraph, Canva, Illustrator, Procreate, Google Sheets, or pen-and-paper. Learn core principles and best practices of information design and leave with a finished infographic and practical skills to communicate data clearly.
