Data Protection for Developers & Software Engineers

Software architectures and development choices play a decisive role in data protection compliance. Developers and software engineers increasingly shape how personal data is collected, processed and secured, often long before legal or compliance teams become involved. This course is designed for technical professionals seeking to understand data protection law within the context of software development. It translates GDPR requirements into concepts meaningful for technical teams, situating compliance within the software development lifecycle and providing the context needed to build systems that are compliant by design, secure by default and aligned with organizational compliance strategies.
Content
  • GDPR for technical profiles
  • Identifying personal data in systems
  • Privacy by design in code and architecture
  • Security and access control
  • Collaboration with legal and compliance
Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course learner will be able to:
