Data Protection by Design and by Default in Digital Projects

Digital projects increasingly rely on personal data, making data protection an essential design constraint rather than a post-launch consideration. The GDPR requires organisations to integrate data protection principles into systems and processes from the earliest stages of development, yet these requirements are often misunderstood or applied too late. This course places data protection by design and by default in the context of real digital projects. It helps participants understand how legal principles translate into technical, organisational, and product decisions throughout the project lifecycle.  

The course combines lecture-based theoretical instruction with real-world scenarios and examples drawn from digital projects, supplemented by practical exercises that develop participants' ability to apply privacy-by-design principles to requirements specifications and technical workflows.
