Digital Accessibility
This learning track aims to raise designers’ and developers’ awareness of the importance of accessibility. Participants will develop empathy by experiencing digital through the lens of disability, learn about the history of accessibility and concepts such as universal design, and discover how to build an accessible design system. Practical activities will include the use of assistive technologies to understand the challenges faced by people with disabilities.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will develop a thorough and practical understanding of accessibility, including its history, legal requirements and best practice for accessibility audits and testing. They will acquire the skills needed to create accessible design systems, test products with disabled users and ensure legal compliance. This course will enable designers, developers and policy makers to design and maintain inclusive and compliant digital experiences.
