This course takes the participants through the data analysis flow: from ingesting and transforming data, to basic analysis and visualization, using Microsoft Excel, reviewing the basic principles around Exploratory Data Analysis and Statistics, applied to univariate and bivariate data exploration.

Learning Outcomes
  • Learn the principles of EDA, univariate and bivariate data exploration
  • Learn to use EXCEL as part of the data analysis cycle
  1. Excel for data ingestion
  2. EXCEL for split-apply-combine actions (data segmentation, conditional operations and summarization)
  3. EXCEL for basic statistics/data metrics functions
  • Learn when to use and how to prepare key visualizations : scatter plots, bar plots, histograms, and cumulative frequency plots

Classroom delivery with hands-on application via use cases in highly interactive sessions.
