Learners will explore agile project management principles to enhance their project execution skills. They will learn to apply the iterative, problem-solving approach of design thinking to the more structured processes of project management.

The different phases of a project’s life cycle
The role, skills and responsibilities of the project manager in each phase
The project management methodologies: waterfall vs agile and scrum
The 5 phases of Design Thinking methodology and how to apply them to a practical case, from ideation to wireframes
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this class, you will be able to:
Describe the project manager roles, skills, and responsibilities
Understand the stages of the project cycle and the role of the project manager in each stage
Describe the different Project Management methodologies and when to use them
Understand the Design Thinking methodology
Understand how Design Thinking can improve Project Management by applying iterative development and a user-centric approach

This course provides an understanding of how to apply the iterative, problem-solving approach of design thinking to the more structured processes of project management. As a result of this innovative approach, a feedback loop is built between the project team and the users of the product or services, which enables innovation and reduces failures in the project lifecycle.
